    • Norma Dean Behrmann, 85, passed away on Friday, Jan 11, 2019 at her home. She was a resident of Middleton, Idaho since August 2007 and former longtime resident of the Phoenix, Arizona area. She was born Norma Dean Smith on April 27, 1933 in Fruita, Colorado the 2nd child to Max H. Smith and Leda H. Cato Smith.
      She attended schools in Fruita, Colorado and was a graduate of Fruita High School with the class of 1951.
      She married Orris Leroy Behrmann December 25, 1951 in Fruita, Colorado. They were later divorced.
      Norma was a supervisor of operators for Mountain Bell and a public relations director of activities for AT&T.
      She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
      She was an avid reader, especially of history books, loved crafts, art, ceramics and an awesome creative genius.
      Survivors include her daughter Janet Sumpter of Mesa, Arizona; granddaughters: Terescheri Robinson of Mesa, Arizona, Krissy Behrmann of Phoenix, Arizona and Anastasia Opal Behrmann; great-granddaughter: Tasha King, Erica Clark, Autum Bunten, Jordan Bunten and Charlotte Guinard (the latter four being raised by Norma); three great-great-grandchildren; brother LeRoy Smith of Tonto Basin, Arizona; and sister Patricia (Dennis) Newton of Middleton, Idaho.
      Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her son Neils Behrmann; and two sisters Madalyn Kester of Grand Junction, Colorado and Maxine Hughes of Snowflake, Arizona.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 309 W. Main Street in Middleton, Idaho. Interment will be in the Middleton Cemetery.
